Ten Minute Easter Dirt Cake
This no-bake dessert is quick to prepare and features creamy layers of chocolate pudding, cream cheese, and crushed Oreos, topped with colorful Peeps and shredded coconut.
Ingredients
Cookies
- 13.29 oz Oreos (divided; reserve some for topping) Crushed into fine crumbs for the dirt layer.
Dairy & Creams
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened Should be soft for easy mixing.
- 1 cup powdered sugar Adjust based on your sweetness preference.
- 16 oz Cool Whip (container) Used for lightness in the layers.
Pudding Mix & Milk
- 2 boxes instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz each) Make sure it's instant pudding.
- 3 cups cold milk Use whole milk for creaminess.
Coloring & Toppings
- 2-3 drops green food coloring For coloring the coconut.
- 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut For 'grass' topping.
- 8-10 Peeps bunnies For decoration.
- 20-26 Cadbury mini eggs For added decoration.
Instructions
Preparation
- Crush about two-thirds of the Oreos into fine crumbs and set aside; reserve the rest for chunky topping.
Make the cream cheese layer
- Beat the softened cream cheese, softened butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Fold in Cool Whip
- Gently fold half of the Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture until light and evenly combined.
Mix the pudding
- Whisk both boxes of instant chocolate pudding with 3 cups cold milk until thickened, then fold the pudding into the remaining Cool Whip.
Layer and finish
- In a serving dish or individual cups, layer crushed Oreos, cream cheese mixture, and pudding mixture; repeat.
- Top with shredded coconut dyed green, Peeps, Cadbury mini eggs, and reserved Oreo pieces.
Notes
Refrigerate for 15–30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Can be assembled the night before to save time. Store covered in refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
