Preparation
- In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for about 5 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, combine sliced strawberries and sugar in a bowl and mash slightly with a fork or muddler to release juices.
- Remove the tea bags and stir in the mashed strawberry and sugar mixture until well blended.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
Serving
- Serve over ice and garnish with fresh strawberries and mint if desired.
Notes
Taste and adjust the sugar while mashing the berries. Store in a sealed pitcher in the fridge for up to 4 days for best flavor.
