  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder Fresh garlic works too; use 1 clove minced.
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder Fresh onion can be used, adjust the quantity accordingly.
  • To taste Salt and pepper Use sea salt for a richer flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Green onions, chopped (optional) For garnish.
  • Tortilla chips, crackers, or veggies For serving. Provide a variety for dipping.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, roasted jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  • Optional: Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or veggies.

Notes

For perfect results, use room temperature cream cheese for smooth blending. Roast jalapeños over an open flame for a smoky flavor. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat. Experiment with different cheeses like pepper jack for variation. Let the dip sit for a few minutes after baking for easier serving.
