Ingredients

Pizza Base

  • 1 pound Pizza Dough Store-bought or homemade

Cream Cheese Spread

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened; can substitute with ricotta
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor

Toppings

  • 8 ounces Smoked Salmon Use wild-caught if possible
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill Can substitute with chives or parsley
  • 2 tablespoons Capers Rinsed and drained
  • 1 small Red Onion Thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Extra virgin for enhanced flavor

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven according to your pizza dough instructions.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and place it on a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Bake the crust until golden brown according to the dough instructions.
  • While the crust is baking, mix cream cheese with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Once the crust is baked, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top.
  • Layer the smoked salmon, sliced red onion, and capers over the cream cheese.
  • Finish with fresh dill and a drizzle of olive oil. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for easy spreading; let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. For an even crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 3-5 minutes before adding the cream cheese and toppings. Use high-quality smoked salmon for superior flavor.
