Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
Tortillas & Oil
  • 4 pieces flour tortillas (6 inches)
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (vegetable, canola, or avocado)
Cheese & Toppings
  • 4 slices American cheese (or preferred cheese)
  • Dill pickle chips
Veggies & Seasonings
  • Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions.
  2. Spread one portion of beef over each tortilla, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat with oil.
  4. Cook each tortilla meat-side down for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip and add cheese; cook for another 1-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from heat and repeat for remaining tacos.
  7. Assemble tacos with lettuce, onion, and pickles.

Notes

Serve these tacos hot with a side of fries or chips and a simple slaw. For dipping, try a tangy burger sauce or spicy mayo. Warm tortillas before assembling to prevent cracking.
