  • 1/4 cup Green Onions (chopped) For garnish; adds a fresh touch.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • On a large sheet pan, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer.
  • In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with barbecue sauce until well combined.
  • Spread the BBQ chicken evenly over the chips.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
  • Add jalapenos if desired.
  • Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions.
  • Serve with sour cream on the side.

Notes

Opt for thicker tortilla chips for better support of toppings. Use a mix of cheese varieties for more complex flavor. Warm BBQ sauce before mixing with chicken for easier coating. Monitor nachos closely to avoid overcooking cheese. Add toppings like black olives or corn for variety.
