  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning Homemade seasoning is a great alternative.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar or Mexican blend cheese works well.
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes Roasted or flavored diced tomatoes can enhance taste.
  • 1 cup Lettuce (shredded) Any leafy lettuce variety is fine.
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Replace with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • Optional Toppings Salsa, avocado, and jalapeños add great flavors.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning and diced tomatoes; cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Place the taco shells in a baking dish and fill each shell generously with the beef mixture.
  • Evenly distribute the shredded cheese over each filled taco.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot, topped with shredded lettuce, sour cream, and any other desired toppings.

Notes

Choose quality taco shells for enhanced crunchiness; experiment with homemade taco seasoning for a personalized taste. Allow tacos to cool briefly after baking to prevent burns.
