Ingredients
  

Veggies

  • 1 medium Cucumber (thinly sliced) Use a sharp knife or a mandoline for uniform slices.

Spread

  • 8 oz Cream cheese Soften slightly for easier mixing.

Herbs

  • 2 tbsp Fresh dill (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh chives (chopped)

Seasoning

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper

Bread

  • 8 slices Slices of white or whole grain bread

Preparation

  • Slice the cucumbers thinly.
  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese with chopped dill, chives, salt, and pepper; soften the cream cheese slightly for easy mixing.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture on slices of bread using about a tablespoon per slice.
  • Top with cucumber slices and another slice of bread, layering the cucumber evenly over the spread.
  • Cut into quarters or desired shapes and serve; trim crusts if preferred.

Notes

Assemble close to serving time for maximum freshness, or refrigerate for up to 24 hours. For a sushi-inspired twist, try pairing these with a California roll cucumber salad for complementary flavors.
