Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken Can be substituted with ground turkey or lamb.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Add more if mixture is too loose.
  • 1 large egg, beaten Acts as a binder.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Spices

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For Cooking

  • Olive oil For cooking the patties.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, parsley, cilantro, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add the beaten egg and mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into patties, pressing gently so they hold together.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Cook the patties for 5–7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve warm with a side salad or in pita bread.

Notes

Don’t overwork the meat when mixing to keep patties tender. Use medium heat to ensure nice browning without burning.
