  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin recommended
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil, chopped Can use dried basil, but fresh is more aromatic
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Adjust garlic based on preference
  • to taste Salt Enhances flavor, use kosher or sea salt
  • to taste Pepper Freshly ground is ideal

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts, boneless, skinless Can substitute with thighs if preferred

Preparation

  • Whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Coat the chicken breasts in the marinade thoroughly.
  • Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.

Notes
