  • 1.5-2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Seasonings & Garnish
  • 0.5 tsp salt Adjust to taste
  • 0.25 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes, lemon zest, or chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts.
  3. In a bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Cooking
  1. Roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

For best results, dry the sprouts well, avoid overcrowding the pan, and flip halfway through roasting. Adding cheese at the end preserves a melty finish. These sprouts can be made ahead and reheated for optimal crispness.
