  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Score the skin of the pork belly in a crosshatch pattern.
  3. In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic, black pepper, salt, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Place the pork belly in a roasting pan and pour the honey mixture over it, ensuring it’s well coated.
Cooking
  1. Roast in the oven for about 2-2.5 hours until the pork is tender.
  2. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and roast for an additional 20-30 minutes to achieve that crispy skin.
  3. Once cooked, let the pork belly rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
