- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and chopped shallot, sautéing until fragrant.
- Add the green beans and cook until crisp-tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the almonds and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the almonds are golden.
- Remove from heat and squeeze lemon juice over the top.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve warm.
Notes
For crisp-tender beans, don’t overcook; start checking at 5 minutes. Use medium heat so garlic and almonds brown gently without burning. If using frozen beans, thaw or add a couple minutes to the cooking time to avoid sogginess.
