Ingredients

Protein
  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
Noodles & Produce
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 3 pieces green onions, chopped
Sauce & Oils
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Aromatics
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli; cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add cooked lo mein noodles to the skillet.
  7. Pour soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil over the noodle mixture. Toss everything together until well combined.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Use high heat and a roomy skillet or wok to ensure ingredients sear instead of steam. Slice chicken thin against the grain for tender bites. Cook noodles just until al dente as they will finish cooking when tossed with the hot pan. Prepping all ingredients before starting is key for stir-frying. Adjust seasoning as needed.
