  • 1 can Chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Can substitute with avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Fresh garlic can also be used, but might require adjustment in quantity
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Try smoked paprika for a different flavor
  • Salt, to taste Sea salt works well
  • Pepper, to taste Freshly cracked black pepper recommended

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then pat them dry with paper towels.

Cooking

  • Toss the chickpeas in a large bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 20 to 30 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Allow to cool slightly before enjoying as a snack.

Notes

Ensure that chickpeas are completely dry before tossing them with oil and spices for maximum crispiness. If you prefer a stronger flavor, consider adding some cayenne pepper or chili powder for a spicy kick. Experiment with different herbs and spices for unique flavors.
