Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine

Sauce

  • 1 cup ripe tomatoes, diced Use fresh ripe tomatoes for best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced Don't overcook the garlic; sauté just until fragrant.
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Herbs & Seasoning

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped For fresh flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Toppings (optional)

  • Grated Parmesan for serving Optional topping.

Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Boil salted water in a large pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Making Sauce

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until golden brown.
  • Add diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream until well blended.

Combine and Serve

  • Toss cooked pasta in the sauce until evenly coated.
  • Serve topped with fresh basil and optional grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Serve with a crisp green salad and toasted garlic bread for a complete meal. For a brighter finish, stir in lemon zest before serving.
