Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Juicy shrimp, peeled and deveined Substitute: peeled chicken pieces for chicken; adjust cook time accordingly
  • 3 cups Broccoli florets Use fresh for best texture; frozen works if thawed and drained
  • 3/4 cup Creamy garlic sauce Homemade or store-bought Alfredo or garlic cream works well
  • Salt and pepper Season gradually to avoid oversalting
  • Optional spices Try red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, or lemon zest for brightness

Method

Sauté Garlic and Shrimp
  1. Sauté the garlic in a hot pan with oil until fragrant and slightly golden, about 30 seconds.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, flipping once so both sides lightly brown and finish evenly.
Steam Broccoli
  1. Add the broccoli to the pan and a splash of water to steam, covering briefly to soften.
  2. Once the broccoli is tender, stir in the creamy garlic sauce to coat ingredients evenly and warm through.
Season and Serve
  1. Season with salt, pepper, and any optional spices, tasting and adjusting seasoning as needed before serving.
  2. Serve warm on plates or over rice or pasta, garnishing with lemon zest or parsley if desired.

Notes

Pat shrimp dry before cooking to promote a golden sear. Use a hot pan and moderate oil to sauté garlic quickly. Season incrementally and taste after the sauce is incorporated.
