Pantry Basics

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the breaded chicken according to package instructions. Bake or air-fry until golden and fully cooked through; let rest for a minute.
  2. In a bowl, add a generous scoop of cottage cheese, about 1 cup per serving, into a shallow bowl as the base.
  3. Place the cooked chicken on top of the cottage cheese. You can slice the chicken or leave it whole, gently set it over the cottage cheese.
  4. Pour warm marinara sauce over the chicken, covering it to add flavor.
  5. Garnish the dish with torn fresh basil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
  6. Serve immediately while warm and creamy for the best texture.

Notes

Use fully cooked, hot chicken to slightly warm the cottage cheese. If the cottage cheese is too lumpy, stir briefly for a creamier texture before plating. Warm marinara gently on low heat to avoid splitting. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
