  • 1 cup Corn Canned or frozen works well.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Cheddar or a Mexican blend.
  • ½ cup Salsa Choose your preferred spice level.
  • As needed Tortilla chips Homemade chips can add a personal touch.
  • As desired Sour cream Plain yogurt can be a healthier substitute.
  • As desired Avocado slices Add for creaminess and healthy fats.

Instructions
 

Cook the Meat

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain any excess fat and add the taco seasoning along with a bit of water. Stir and let simmer for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Salad Base

  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, drained black beans, and corn.

Add Seasoned Meat

  • Add the seasoned meat to the salad bowl and toss gently to combine all ingredients.

Top with Cheese and Salsa

  • Top the salad with shredded cheese and pour salsa over the mixture.
