Ingredients

For the Marinade

  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce Low sodium recommended
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil Can substitute with vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Smoked paprika Regular paprika can be used but will lack smokiness

Main Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Chicken drumsticks Skin-on for extra flavor

Instructions

Preparation

  • Whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, and smoked paprika in a bowl.
  • Place chicken drumsticks in a resealable bag or dish, then pour the marinade over them.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.

Cooking

  • Preheat your grill or oven to a medium-high heat.
  • Take the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade safely.
  • Cook the drumsticks on the grill or bake them until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C), approximately 30-40 minutes depending on the method.

Serving

  • Serve the drumsticks hot and enjoy!

Notes

Marinate overnight for deeper flavor penetration. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked through. Let the drumsticks rest for a few minutes after cooking to allow the juices to redistribute. Grilling over medium heat helps prevent burning while achieving a nice char. For added flavor, sprinkle fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro just before serving.
