  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained Fully drained to avoid a watery fluff.
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip
Toppings (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts Optional; toast before chopping for extra crunch.

  1. Gather ingredients: Measure and set out the cherry pie filling, drained crushed pineapple, mini marshmallows, whipped cream (or Cool Whip), and chopped nuts if using.
  2. Combine fruit and marshmallows: In a large bowl, combine the cherry pie filling, drained crushed pineapple, and mini marshmallows.
  3. Fold in whipped cream: Gently fold in the whipped cream until fully incorporated, taking care not to deflate the mixture.
  4. Add nuts if desired: If using, add the chopped nuts and mix softly so the nuts are evenly distributed.
  5. Chill before serving: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors meld, then serve chilled.

Notes

For best texture, chill for at least 1 hour; overnight is fine for stronger flavor melding. For a boozy twist, stir in a tablespoon of cherry liqueur.
