Ingredients

Protein
  • 1 cup imitation crab meat (flaked or chopped)
Vegetables
  • 1 large cucumber (thinly sliced) Choose a firm cucumber for crunchiness.
  • 1 avocado (chopped) Use ripe but not overly soft avocados.
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
Sauces
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
Spices
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by slicing the cucumber into thin rounds and chop the avocado into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumber, chopped avocado, and imitation crab meat.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad mix and toss gently to combine everything well.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top for a finishing touch.
  6. Serve chilled for the best flavor and texture!

Notes

For added flavor, let the salad marinate in the dressing for about 15 minutes before serving. If preparing ahead, keep the avocado separate until you’re ready to serve to prevent browning.
