  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream

Liquids

  • 1/2 cup coconut rum For a non-alcoholic version, replace with extra pineapple juice.
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup milk Adjust for thickness; less for thicker, more for thinner.

Toppings

  • 1 piece maraschino cherry For garnish.

Preparation

  • In a blender, add frozen pineapple chunks, vanilla ice cream, coconut rum, pineapple juice, and milk.
  • Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed.
  • Divide the whipped mixture between serving glasses, using a spatula to get it all out.
  • Spoon or pipe whipped cream over each serving for a classic look.
  • Garnish with a maraschino cherry and serve immediately to enjoy the best texture.

Notes

Serve in chilled glasses for a longer-lasting frosty treat. For extra flair, add a rum-soaked pineapple wedge on the rim or sprinkle with toasted coconut or chopped macadamia nuts.
