Ingredients

For the French Toast

  • 2 large eggs Use fresh eggs for best results.
  • 1/2 cup milk Dairy or non-dairy milk works.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for best flavor.
  • 4 slices day-old thick-cut bread Brioche, challah, or Texas toast work well.
  • Butter Butter for cooking Use real butter for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Add more for extra flavor if desired.
  • Maple syrup Maple syrup for serving Use real maple syrup for the best taste.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your Blackstone griddle.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak briefly.

Cooking

  • Add butter to the griddle and place the soaked bread slices on it.
  • Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.

Serving

  • Serve warm with maple syrup.
  • Top with fresh berries, sliced bananas, or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra flavor.

Notes

Use day-old, thick-cut bread for better soaking. Keep the griddle at medium heat to ensure even cooking. Work in batches and keep finished slices warm in a low oven.
