Instructions

Preparation

  • Peel and slice the bananas into small pieces and place them in a bowl.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor.
  • In the popsicle molds, layer the sliced bananas, then pour the melted chocolate over the top.
  • Insert popsicle sticks into the molds and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.
  • To serve, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds and gently pull out the popsicles.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best natural sweetness and creaminess. Make sure to mix the chocolate thoroughly with coconut oil to avoid clumping. You can add nuts or seeds between the banana layers for added texture. For a gourmet touch, drizzle some extra melted chocolate on top before freezing. Experiment with flavor by adding spices or extracts, such as almond or cinnamon. If storing for later, wrap popsicles individually in plastic wrap to keep their freshness.
